CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Factory Supported Programme with Vauxhall

For 2026, Ioan has been selected as an official works driver for Vauxhall, competing in the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup. Driving the cutting-edge Mokka GSE Rally, the season represents a new chapter as Ioan becomes part of one of motorsport’s most innovative electric rally projects while continuing his development on the international stage.

Junior European Rally Championship – Runner Up

In 2025 Ioan stepped onto the international stage for the first time, competing in the Junior European Rally Championship. In his debut season at European level, Ioan delivered an outstanding performance to finish Runner-Up in the championship, taking multiple podium finishes against some of the best young drivers in Europe and firmly establishing himself as a rising talent in international rallying.

Breakthrough Season

2024 proved to be a defining year for Ioan Lloyd as he secured the Stellantis Cup UK & Ireland Championship, establishing himself as one of the most promising young drivers in British rallying. Competing across a demanding calendar of events, Ioan demonstrated impressive consistency, pace and maturity behind the wheel, laying the foundations for a step up to international competition.

An incredible season for us making our debut in Ireland for the hotly contested Irish Tarmac Championship, with an exciting entry of rally 4 cars with around 15 rapid competitors on most rounds. We had a fantastic string of results having led every rally we entered this year and having won International Rally of the Lakes, Cork 20 International and Rally Ceredigion was a brilliant reward for a lot of hard work put in by the everyone in the team this year, we definitely upped our pace having learnt a lot with massive increased experience.

  • Debut in Ireland Competing in the Irish Tarmac Championship driving a Peugeot 204 Rally 4.
  • Lead in every rally entered, winning Rally of the Lakes (Killarney), Cork 20 International and Rali Ceredigion (Aberystwyth)
  • Debut season contesting the Junior British Rally Championship driving a Peugeot 208 Rally4
  • Finished 4th in Round 1 and 3rd on two other events to finish 4th in the table at season's end

  • Made road rally debut in an Escort Mk2, finishing 3rd in class
  • Contested the Junior 1000 Rally Championship driving a Citroën C1 8 events, 7 finishes, 7 top 10 results, 4 podium finish
  • Contested the Junior 1000 Rally Championship driving a Nissan Micra before upgrading to a Citroën C1. 9 events, 8 finishes, 7 top 10 results, 1 podium finish
  • Rally debut driving a Nissan Micra, aged 14 Contested two Junior 1000 Championship events - finishing in the top 10 both times.

Pre driving in the F1000 Ioan spent a few years Go Karting in the cadet Karts then moving in to the Rotax Juniors, this gave him a fantastic start in motorsport learing many key driving skills.

Ioan was also able to compete in some local auto tests from a younger age gaining vital car control early on.

 

Co Driver

Sion Williams

The 23 year old from Blaenau Ffestiniog works in the family garage business. He is a very young and talented co driver with aspirations of making it to the pinnacle of the sport. Sion has been co driving for over 8 years with some very notable results on various events. Sion teamed up with Ioan in 2021 and have shared a great partnership, together they have progressed to being great friends and a very competitive team.
