What an experience !
An amazing rally on some incredibly demanding roads, fantastic experience for us, we learnt a huge amount this week from every aspect.
We struggled on Friday with the car being too soft on setup not suited to these roads , with just 1 service in the morning we got through and made changes Saturday morning, a massive step forward with the car which fuelled more confidence for us. We were able to close the gap to the front pace in the Peugeot cup with some incredible speed on display from them, saw us work our way into the top 10. Unfortunately in Es11 we slid off with no damage and thanks to all the spectators for pulling us out, an experience to see such an atmosphere thank you !
We managed a clean run on the opener on Sunday morning only 8 seconds from fastest with room for improvement on a 10km stage, unfortunately we had no clean run after this due to being stuck behind a car and ultimately sheared wheel studs only 5km from the end of the last stage meant a DNF. However theres many positives to take away from this event, a huge amount learnt and we showed decent speed against some incredible opposition, we can be happy for sure on our debut in France.
Thanks to Dad, Mam and Geraint in service and catering superb job ! And to Sion Williams on the notes not an easy task on these roads but a great job once again.
